Why you should attendIn addition to managing a project through to processes of planning, monitoring and steering it through its various stages to completion a Project Manager has the task of leading both the people directly involved in the project (i.e. the project team) and the wider 'stakeholder' community. This workshop provides an environment where Project Managers can review and practice the skills needed for the team leadership aspect of their work. Event Outline
Delegates will have the opportunity to use 'real life' projects they are currently working on as 'case studies' during the day. If none available then a 'case study' will be provided. Please NoteThis workshop does not require adherence to any particular project methodology nor is it essential that delegates have knowledge of project management methodology. Delegates who use or are familiar with a project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE) will find they are able better able to use the tools and techniques available within the methodology to motivate and lead the project team. Delegates who are not familiar with a project management methodology will understand the part they play in delivering successful projects and be able to assess their relevance and value to projects they are engaged in. |
