Why you should attend

This workshop is a resource for project mangers wishing to provide an environment where the project team can achieve a rich understanding of the task in hand and of each other.

The event aims to create a strong project team where project team members:

  • know what they are being asked to do
  • know what their individual roles are
  • know what they can expect of their other team members
  • know what they can and should expect from the 'stakeholders' outside of the project team
  • have a consistent understanding of the project goals and the proposed route to achieve them

Whilst the content of the workshop will vary according to the specific needs of the project manager and the status of the project, the following points will be addressed:

  • The relationship between Project Team Leadership and Project Management methodologies techniques.
  • Understanding the role of the Project Manager.
  • Goals, deliverables and outcomes within a project.
  • Exploring project roles within a project.
  • Making project roles and responsibilities meaningful within your organisation and for your project.
  • Motivation and self-motivation in projects
  • People are different - personality types and teams
  • Being pro-active and reactive within a project

This workshop does not require adherence to any particular project methodology nor is it essential that delegates have knowledge of project management methodology.
